10 x 45 "Terlux" Monocular E. Busch Rathenow 1920/30

No: 219058

Since 1906 the optical company E. Busch in Rathenow made the "Terlux" models with porro 1 prisms. They have a curved lengthy body - looking like two cones stuck into each other. Magnifications of 6x, 9x, 12x or 10x, 18x, 24x were produced as binoculars and monoculars.

This 10x45 monocular or spotting scope of the Terlux series by E. Busch Rathenow, has withstood time well. It came with a matching leather case. It has the typical Terlux shape with its slightly bended upper housing as well as a conical objective tube. The prism system itself is built into the rather flat body part on above the strap lug. The top cover palte is painted black, bears the Busch logo and is marked with "BUSCH-TERLUX 10X45 - Nr. 219058". The leather coverings of the aluminium housing have seams. The eyecup is made of dark brown bakelite. The dioptre scale is marked at +5 and -5 as usual.
