 This 6 x 30 Marineglas is the answer of the Zeiss company to the first 6 x 30 modell,"the Marineglas Pernox", built by Goerz in 1902 in Berlin.

On the edge of the right front cover a number is engraved: 71743 The purpose of the five-digit number is unknown. 

The big clamping screw indicates military use. The civilian version is called " Silvamar "
